Amal Journey

About two years ago when it was my 2nd semester, I was too much worried about my career. I lacked professional skills, communication skills, and self-confidence. I was looking for any online course or any platform where I can improve these skills, that was the time I got to know about Amal. When I explored further, I got all the positive vibes from this career-prep fellowship and somehow I was convinced that this is the place I was looking for.

I wanted to apply at Amal but I found out that the admissions were already closed. It was sad, but I decided to apply next time and like this, 3 semesters have passed. I applied again but couldn’t make it into the fellowship. Then, in my 6th semester, I applied again and Alhamdullilah, here I am writing my reflection on this short but beautiful journey.

My journey at Amal was very beneficial and beautiful. It was a great experience. I already knew that this fellowship would be very beneficial for my career, that’s why I never thought of leaving, despite the huge workload of the university. But this fellowship was great beyond my expectations.

Best Part

3 months passed in a blink of an eye. I experienced a lot of new things here. The environment was entirely different from the university. I got to know beautiful and awesome people. I learned a lot from them. Watching that how much busy and hectic their schedules are and how well are they managing it along with the fellowship work, had a great effect on me and it pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and work even harder.

I developed self-confidence and got a direction for my career and dreams through this fellowship and this is the thing I loved most about Amal. Because direction has huge importance in one’s journey of life. Amal taught me to believe in myself, how to find the best path for life, how to find out my purpose in life, and how to remain positive in difficulties and diversity. These are the best lessons I’ve learned from this fellowship.

My Program managers Sir Rizwan and Ma’am Hira are the best teachers I’ve ever met. They taught us all the things very well, with patience and brilliance. They explained every concept in detail, in a very soft manner and they tried their best to keep us motivated and to help us whenever we needed it. I loved the positive energy they’ve created in every session.

Most Influential Incident

All the activities, Project works and sessions were beneficial, enjoyable, and awesome. I learned a lot from all activities. Every week has been a whole new journey of personal and professional growth. Some activities were more influential for me.

Life Map:

First of all, it was the life map activity. Finding out the best and worst moments of my life, lows and highs, and then connecting the dots to see what lessons I’ve learned from all those moments and finding out how these lessons will help me in the future, was a great and thought-provoking experience.

One-on-one Session:

I had a one-on-one session with Sir Rizwan. It was a great experience. We talked about my dreams and future goals and Sir gave me some tips regarding each of my goals. Those tips and pieces of advice were most beneficial for me. I’m grateful to Sir Rizwan for that awesome and lovely session.

Sir Ali Siddiq’s Visit:

Once our CEO of Amal Sir Ali Siddiq visited our session. He shared his life story with us that was truly inspirational and he gave very thoughtful and detailed explanations to our queries. It was a great experience. Loved his positivity and the pieces of advice he gave to us. That session was very thoughtful. It changed some of my perspectives on life.

I loved the whole fellowship journey. It couldn’t be more great and awesome. These 3 months were more beneficial, beautiful, and enjoyable than my 3 years of university. I’m really thankful to Amal for providing us such a great platform and for allowing me to be a part of it. I’m also grateful to Ma’am Hira and Sir Rizwan for their tireless efforts, positivity, and great pieces of advice.
Proud to be a part of Amal.
